Since 1981, White Oak Veterinary Clinic has been dedicated to treating the dogs and cats of White Oak, PA, and surrounding areas. Our services include wellness exams, sick visits, vaccinations, microchipping, nutrition and weight management, euthanasia, x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, parasite testing and prevention, in-house pharmacy, dentistry, surgery including spay and neuter, mass removal, foreign body removal, cherry eye repair, pain management, and more! We are open six days a week and look forward to meeting you and your pet!

Emily Green
DVM, & Medical DirectorDr. Emily Green is an Associate Veterinarian at White Oak Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Green earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Her areas of professional interest include mixed animal practice, dermatology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and end-of-life (hospice) care. Dr. Green started working in the veterinary field in 2012, and was inspired by her time volunteering at community health clinics (human) in her hometown, where she discovered her interest in medicine. This led her to then volunteer at her local animal shelter to train and rehabilitate abandoned and abused animals, where she discovered her real passion was animal medicine. Dr. Green believes the best part of working in veterinary medicine is, “Being a part of fostering the incredible bond that people and our four-legged companions share, and keeping our fuzzy/scaled/ feathered friends healthy for a long life with their families.” Originally from the town of Westminster outside of Baltimore, MD, Dr. Green and her husband recently moved to Belle Vernon, PA. Their family intends on growing soon with the plan to become foster parents, but for now they keep themselves busy with their two dogs named Kasa and Willow and their six cats named Buggs, Cherry Blossom, Gizmo, Dumpling, Texas, and Zim! Dr. Green loves to support her local community, and likes to get as involved as she can with pet over-population issues by volunteering with local TNR programs. When she is not at work or volunteering, she also loves to garden and bake.

Maddelene Herr
DVMDr. Maddelene Herr is excited to be joining White Oak Veterinary Clinic! Originally born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from Millersville University. She then went on to veterinary school at Ross University and completed her clinical studies at Tufts University in Massachusetts. After 10 years of many adventures living in New Hampshire, including meeting her husband, they decided Pittsburgh, PA would be their new home. Dr. Herr spent the first part of her career at a busy 24/7 small animal emergency hospital in New Hampshire, where she gained experience managing challenging medicine cases; she then moved on to general practice and prefers a setting where she can get to know her patients and clients individually and work with their own unique needs. At home, Dr. Herr enjoys reading, baking, gardening and getting bossed around by her small, yet mouthy, cat. She and her husband love traveling and are always looking for a new food adventure!
